You're Invited To The Ultimate Troll 2 Party

Troll 2 is the absolute classic "so bad it's good" movie. When I was introduced to the film 5 years ago, I instantly became obsessed with it's weirdness. I was so obsessed, I started hosting Troll 2 parties and getting as many friends into this film as I could. A few years later, I found the actors online, as well as many fans and realized I wasn't the only person into this awful film.

Troll 2 had been gaining a cult following ever since it's release on DVD in 2003. Michael Stephenson, who played the lead role of Joshua in the film, grew up to be a film maker and decided to make a documentary on the Troll 2 phenomenon, appropriately titled, Best Worst Movie.

To make a long story short, I ended up in Utah last summer, participating in the biggest Troll 2 cast reunion. I hung out with the director, writer and all the actors, got interviewed for Michael Stephenson's documentary and visited all of the Troll 2 film sites. It was the most amazing experience and I'm sure I'll end up writing a more detailed blog entry of my experience at some point.

However, I just wanted to use this space to publicize my Troll 2 Party, which I believe will be the best Troll 2 party any fan has ever thrown.

What: The Ultimate Troll 2 Party
When: Friday, May 30th, 2008. Starts at 7 pm.
Where: St. Catharines, Ontario (since this is not a public event, you'll have to email: troll2partycanada@gmail.com for more details on directions).

Actors from Troll 2, George Hardy (Michael Waits) and Michael Stephenson (Joshua Waits) will be attending. Yep. The stars of this film will be attending! Ask them all those burning Nilbog questions you've had about the film that's been dubbed "the best worst movie ever".

I will be preparing a whole Nilbog feast (plus BBQ), so "dance and eat my children."

We will be having the Trollympics!! Games will include:

- Holly Weights
- Flower Pots races
- Corn on the Cob eating competition
- Green spit competition
- Spear Arnold

Then we will watch Troll 2 on the big screen, in the backyard, drive-in style (minus the cars), play some Troll 2 trivia, have a Q & A with the actors and give away AWESOME Troll 2 prizes to the winners.

Never seen Troll 2? Well, this will be the best time to see it for the first time.
